It is nice to see Beat FM 102.5 and Nokia release such a competition.

“Beat The Best” is your chance to be one of 2 people who will share the first place prize which is JD5000 in cash! JD2500 given to a guy and JD2500 given to a girl!

The competition will take place over 5 weekends starting with August 1st 5 kilometer running race for guys and 3 kilometer running race for girls; the race is organized with Jordan Athletic Federation’s help, and will take place at al-Hussein Sports City.

The first 32 guys and first 32 girls to finish their laps first will continue with us to the next challenge on August 8th; the Goal Keeper, taking place at Dunes Club where the best 16 guys and 16girls will meet us at the same location for a Friday 15th Basket Ball and Saturday the 16th Volleyball challenge. The 22nd and 23rd of August will be the Go Karting and Bowling weekend to find out who the best 4males and best 4 females are so they join us for the last challenge on Friday the 29th of August on an IQ treasure hunt!! The first guy to solve all the clues will win JD2500, and the first girl will also getJD2500!!

It’s a simple as that! You don’t have to be athletic to join, you only need to do your best and if you’re among the people who scored the best-half of the scores, you’ll continue to next week’s challenge. For example, there will be 32 guys competing in the Goal Keeper, if your ranking was between 1 and 16, you’ll qualify in next week’s challenge.

Registration is free at www.mybeat.fm, closing date is Tuesday the 29th so register now.

When Logos Look Alike

Tell yourself at every step in the design process that someone has undoubtedly already thought of this and what can you do to really set it apart. In design, and particularly logo design, the pessimistic axiom that “everything has already been done” is becoming more and more true, and it is only the virtuous designer who can continue to stand out in a sea of sameness.

Review: Batman, The Dark Knight

“Wanna know how I got these scars?”

I can say I was completely blown away! Not just the best Batman movie ever made, this is one of the best movies this year. Everything in this film is excellent, not one piece of annoyance.

Ledger has made The Joker in to an iconic movie villain. This is the true Joker every Batman fan knows, loves and fears. Ledger deserves any and every movie award known to man for this brilliant display. He was so good at that part it made me feel bad he’s dead now.

PHENOMENAL, summing it all up in one word.

Nolan’s directing is sublime, he managed to keep us, the audience enthralled in an almost 3 hour movie. There were several shots in the film that had me saying “Now how in the hell did they do that?!”, Brilliant scores by James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer.

Every actor shines, no one person steals the film.

I don’t want to say much about it, because whatever is said cannot do it justice, there is enough hype surrounding it’s release, but it’s there for a reason. Top Notch film.

Rates 5/5 on my scale (first time ever I guess?)
