Review: Bite Me – Jordan
April 26th, 2010

Bite Me is a newly established food delivery service in Jordan.
I got a call from Tamer, a friend of mine (Jo Bedu) asking for my address to send me something cool, turns out to be “Bite Me“, a new project by his lovely wife. The sandwiches and I’m not exaggerating are the best handmade sandwiches I’ve ever had here in Amman.
I got a call by 2 pm, the delivery guys gave me the bag, Jihan sent us almost everything on the menu to try out. I fell in love with everything, I was biting from this and that. The sandwiches were just amazing.
Let me start with the presentation, the recycled brown bags, the wrapping and the stickers telling what sandwich are you about to try. I love it! It felt good. My favorite is the bandit: which basically consists of Mortadella, provolone and homemade olive salad on a fresh rye. It was love from the first sight! brown buns too!
I’ll leave you with some pictures I took with my phone, Call Bite Me on 079.937.6227 and check www.biteme-jordan.com for the menu, you won’t regret it.

A bit overpriced, isn’t it? JD5 for a homemade sandwich? They might want to reconsider that or even study competitive market TheBasket-jo have a much cheaper menu and does taste good.
But maybe I’ll give it a try anyway.
Wouldn´t it have been love at first bite?
Nour, true but premium ingredients cost. I love the basket too.
I love the packaging and the branding..”Bite me” is an excellent brand name..
I want some bite me!
The basket is great but this is in a different league!
These sandwiches are bigger – and I promise once you’ve tried it you’ll see where the price is coming from =)
Danielle, it is really good you gotta try it.
Sandwich, true. I love bite me’s portions.
In Jordan, fast food is insanely expensive, even normal restuarants, it is like a 1:1 converting ratio, what costs 1 euro in Europe, would 1 JD in Jordan, sometimes even more, forgetting even that 1JOD > 1 €.
But in Europe, the prices makes more since, as the workers working in the restaurants, transportation and so on, are paid higher, but in Jordan!!!
Hmmmmmmm
