A friend of mine, who is Jordanian from a Syrian origin set this as his facebook status:
I wanted to kill every single jew, but I left some behind so the world would see why I wanted to wipe them off earth, Adlof Hitler.

I checked the interesting replies and here I copy:
Like everyone, I feel very strongly about what’s happening in Gaza, and what the Israeli’s and Zionist’s are doing and have done over the past sixty years, but this in noway means that what Hitler did was OK or is in anyway justified. He committed ugly crimes against humanity, genocide, ethnic cleansing. His methods were very close to those of the Zionist Israeli’s, and I’m disappointed to see him being quoted over and over on Facebook. Israel is committing and have committed horrible crimes, and so did Hitler.

Hitler hated jews because he considered them enemies - rivals- menace thus humans . Do you know what he said about Arabs in his book; Arabs = Semi-humans like negroes but negroes are better because they do sports. STOP quoting Hitler please.

Now, it is my turn:
I’m a person who lived most his life generalizing, I like to make generalizations. I can’t avoid doing so, and you shouldn’t want to avoid doing so. Generalizing well is a basic part of critical thought. Take drawing for an example, If you try to draw a room, a person, an object in every possible detail, you’re on a fool’s errand. It isn’t even how we actually physiologically see the world. There will always be another detail excluded at the end of your work. I cut on the generalizing, and you too should do that.

13 years later… the actors are together once again for what looks like an awesome movie: Revolutionary Road (15th January, 2009).

Both Kate and Leo are nominated for the Golden Globes and I hope both win in their respective categories. Kate has been nominated 2 times before and has lost both. I hope the third time is a charm for her. I really want to her win something!

Let’s wait & see, I suppose?

Cancelling the new years eve party won’t help Gaza

I like how most of the events for the NYE were cancelled. Some say because the organizers didn’t sell enough tickets, some others say because the organizer is from a palestinian origin and has family there. My heart is with Gaza and Gazans.

My heart sincerely go out to all the families and victims of Gaza, We can only hope the New Year brings some peace and optimism to this already crazy world…

Wars do not stop, and specially between Israel and Palestine, so I’m sorry. I’m not going to quit partying because of what is going on.

Schlotzsky’s in Amman, first in the MENA

For those who don’t know, The first Schlotzsky’s restaurant in Jordan and in the Middle East has opened in August in Amman. The new restaurant, which is being established by Arab East for Restaurants Management, a member of Vantage Capital is located in Rabia Towers.

Schlotzsky’s is a US-based chain specializing in sandwiches, pizzas, freshly baked bread, and soups.
