I went there last Friday (where it was raining cats and dogs) and wished its worth going out in such weather. Arrived there around 3pm with 2 friends of mine, and our first impression was… WOW, the building from the inside doesn’t look anything like the outside, the restaurant has a really great design and is way bigger than you expect.

The menu had a really great variety of items, we were first served Muhammara, that vanished off the table in no time… I don’t usually trust such food anywhere, but this was too appealing for me to ignore.

I ordered the Msakhan dish. Usually, you don’t expect such dishes to be perfectly cooked outside the house and I’ve probably tried at least 6-7 Msakhan dishes by many family, friends and relatives mothers cooking but I can tell that I’ll be coming back to Beit El-Fukhara for Msakhan from now on. The onions, the flavor, the smell… it felt like my mother’s cooking at some point (that I terribly miss).

I really recommend you to try it out. I know for sure that I will be visiting again this week! I loved the place, loved the service and the atmosphere.

Rates: 4/5 (Parking on main road at this moment can be pain, but the place is almost flawless)

The Kitchenette is a home-made food delivery service, established recently in Amman, catering to those wanting home-made food and whom are sick of fast food. Joking about the last food.

I heard about the a while back and I decided to give them a shot yesterday. The Kitchenette is run by Dalia Salah, with a set menu of 3 different options/meals daily, Dalia posts a new list every week, 5 days a week, meals are 4 JD each (including a soft drink), Orders are usually between 1pm-3pm.

This week’s set included: Chicken Tandoor with Rice and Red Sauce, Beef Stroganoff with White Sauce and Penne Arabiatta. I decided to order 2 meals, but Dalia was kind enough to send me the 3rd option to try. Order was right on time, 1:03pm exactly.

Let me start by saying that the portions were perfect, it could be for 2 people. I also loved the plastic plates, could easily use them in Microwave without melting or so, Also loved the simple packaging. I first opened the Penne, to be honest. I wiped it clean after 5 minutes, it was perfect, the pasta was perfectly boiled (not dry nor too boiled), the sauce was enough and covered the whole portion, also the olives. I instantly fell in love.

My friend came over for lunch and wiped his plate too, Stroganoff wasn’t strong enough to stay in the plate! I also heated the chicken later on and it was a perfect dinner. I will definitely order again! It was great value for money.

You guys can check this week’s list here or order by phone on 06 – 400 1200 and also check them on facebook as well.

Bite Me is a newly established food delivery service in Jordan.

I got a call from Tamer, a friend of mine (Jo Bedu) asking for my address to send me something cool, turns out to be “Bite Me“, a new project by his lovely wife. The sandwiches and I’m not exaggerating are the best handmade sandwiches I’ve ever had here in Amman.

I got a call by 2 pm, the delivery guys gave me the bag, Jihan sent us almost everything on the menu to try out. I fell in love with everything, I was biting from this and that. The sandwiches were just amazing.

Let me start with the presentation, the recycled brown bags, the wrapping and the stickers telling what sandwich are you about to try. I love it! It felt good. My favorite is the bandit: which basically consists of Mortadella, provolone and homemade olive salad on a fresh rye. It was love from the first sight! brown buns too!

I’ll leave you with some pictures I took with my phone, Call Bite Me on 079.937.6227 and check www.biteme-jordan.com for the menu, you won’t regret it.
