You’ll never see me again… so no one’s gonna cry for you!

Posted: October 28th, 2008 | Author: Moey | Filed under: Amman, Jordan | 12 Comments »

Ugh… I’m upset with myself… I have no motivation to do anything. I just want to lay on bed and do nothing all day. It pains me to get up for university early in the morning and don’t even talk about work… I’m having a serious mental block with caring about my responsibilities.

Is this what being an Ammani is like?

sigh.

I’ll try to elaborate more tomorrow, but I don’t give a crap right now.

Enjoy this, I do.

    Moey, you’re suffering from OBLOMOVISM!
really, you’re case reminds me of this novel “Oblomov” by one of the best Russian novelists of the 19th century, Goncharov. Basically, the novel’s main character, Oblomov, suffers from this state of idleness in which he utterly does not leave his bed nor his room till about the second half of the novel. He even gives up his job, hobbies, friends, social life to just stays in his apartment, basically bed, to not have to deal with problems, or pretty much anything, in the outside world. his apathy towards almost everything in the outside was basically a mirror that reflected the decline of a whole social class (nobility) he belonged to in Russia at the time…
anyway, i guess you totally should read the novel because the question you proposed, “Is this what being an Ammani is like?” is similar to the very same question the novel is trying to answer, except that the setting is 19th century Russia.

Hope you shake off this negative, inactive attitude and become as active and radiant as you used to be :)
