R.I.P. Haitham Shawash (1943 – 2008)

My dad just died today, I don’t know what to say… I have a lot, to say or discuss. We were not on good terms lately, I called him… I told him I don’t have anything against him and I love him a few weeks back, he was under an oxygen mask. couldn’t reply to even say a word! but later on I heard he was praying for me and calling me the success of his life…

It is a bad feeling knowing that someone died knowing you hate him…

I’ll be away for a couple of days!

My deepest condolences to you and your family Moey. I’m sure you didn’t hate him. I think deep down most of us resent many aspects of our fathers but in the end, we love them as they love us with all our worldly flaws.

So what I see is that your love is shown by writing this post, and he knows you love him.. your phone call was the right thing to do.

The best you can do now is to pray for him, your father died proud of you, and thats a sign that he knew you don’t hate them and it’s just fate that prevented you two from having a closure before he passed away.

I pray that you and your family come out of this ordeal stronger and closer.
