I realized that when people tell you that you should be happy all the time, they are actually lying to you or being suggestive to you to get something out of you. It is one of those things people do to put you off. Things which they cannot ask you to do directly because they’re either misguiding you (It’d be too late for you to find out).

Many people will try to tell you what they did, how they did it and how they see things while every person’s experience is different, and every person’s view about things is different.

For everyone out there who listens to what others say constantly, you need to “grow a pair” between your legs, and man up to your and take your decisions.

Never let them convince or tell you that they are right and wrong.

I never thought it would be so difficult to discuss anything between religion or politics with well-educated people older than me. My poor attempt was just a trial to connect the dots (with logic) and yes and no answers.

Apparently, theirs was between belittling of the other’s questions. I feel sad for us Arabs, sometimes we might be wanting a democratic political system but we certainly can’t make any good use of it and we end up blaming on God or any sort of intervention that came to help us.

The conversation started with me and a taxi driver (that claimed having a masters degree but not getting a job because he doesn’t have Wasta), he started mixing religion with cultural drawbacks of Jordan. At first I was listening quite but when he started cussing the government with his racist style arguments. I asked him to stop, left and preferred riding in another cab, putting my earphones on and pretending I was listening to music. Better off alone… What an argument.

It’s sad to see people like him since they are utterly useless to a person who just wants to have a decent conversation. If you correct them they jump back on you and try to eat you alive before somebody else does. They try to belittle you and kill your confidence. Confidence is something that I am doing so well in! I may not be the perfect religious person, neither believe much in religions but I at least know and believe in God. I try my best to be good at some religion one day but whatever I am, I do my best to be a good human being first, and treat others with courtesy. It’s sad I had to chat with such a bad person.

When I left the cab, I heard him saying something about Belgium, I didn’t understand what he said because I was in such a bad mood, then I remembered that sadly, that was one of the nicknames upon the huge list of them tagging Palestinians.

There are certainly some of us, obviously needing to have an issue with everything even if it wasn’t even slightly related to them, and suddenly It becomes everything they care about and it is their right to create and issue about it no matter how unnecessary it might be for them.

The root of all evil is ego.

I think we need to learn more about life and stop being judgemental, I was touched by this video, ABC primetime put up an act in a bakery to see how people react when a Muslim customer comes in and is refused service by the employees, who are also actors. You see the racists and you see the non-judgemental. Hat-tip: Fonzation.

I agree, ego is the worst vice of all.

That ABC video is very powerful. First I was tearing up at the reaction of the racists who were agreeing with the clerk, and then the reaction of the people standing up t the clerk, and the last 2 customers made me tear up for an entirely different reason.

I’d be one of the people who’d leave the store and never come back, but would not try to confront the clerk.

Taxi driver and barber’s the most F*cked up people they give you a service that you pay for but then juice you out of everything.

In Tunisia - Taxi driver knew my Arabic was broken so they rip me off and talk a lot of crap about how the UK sucks and how the Brits hate Muslims - they talk like they live here. Barbers just want you to talk bad about the goverment so you will get arrested and they get money.

The NBC video was moving and Like Hani cried - i didn’t but sent a shiver down my spin. thanks for the share, but the youtube comments just fucking sicken me.

This video is really touching , I loved the guy who said go f*** y******* , He was awesome , Damn can’t Americans realize that it’s just like 1% percent of muslims in america who have hate for them ? , There are people born and raised in the usa and love the country just like any american , That’s just so fucked up!.

And Moey , So you know i always face these kind of conversations with taxi drivers and i always pretend to listen to music and put my Ipod on so i run away from them , Taxi drivers in jordan just want to waste time , And they find anything that offends you and start talking about it!.
