Crossing Red Lines…

“I found out that I just give people too much space on me.”
I usually, like many people in this planet get so busy that what was something I do on a daily basis has to take the back seat for something new and more important at some point in life, It could be giving up your social life to do overtime for your new job that you love, and want to be something in, let’s say in 5 years.
I don’t personally believe that anyone doesn’t have any time for something they enjoy doing, or have to do. Like doing classwork and ditching while a friend tells you that you shouldn’t but you prioritize other things like cousins, family or else, THEY ARE NOT GOING TO MAKE YOUR LIVING NOR IMPROVE YOUR SKILLS, rather you don’t prioritize it in your life, which is why you can’t make time for it.
My testament to that would be my designing habit. Have been designing for free, freelancing, faking ads, learning techniques, softwares and web codes myself for years, as went through life from a no-life school student to a university student to a fully-qualified designer and I haven’t even graduated, I’ve been through bad days where I had to repeat subjects and years at school, 2 years of my life were wasted on that, in the trash bin, Did I learn anything? NO. There was hardly a time when I was not designing or learning, when my laptop (2 actually) got screwed, I used to go to coffee shops, or use friends computers and laptops just to design! to run Photoshop or Illustrator, exams or not, breaks or not, holidays or not.
Designing has always been one of my top priorities in life, because it is my way to release my feelings, to distress, to get inspired and escape from the ugly thing called messed-up culture I live in.
Blogging is now in my top priorities & It is also improving my designing skills and habits, I didn’t put myself busy in something else where it slows my design skills down as a result.
So Basically, my life revolves around revolves around designing, advertising, blogging, studies, family, friends and part-time job (randomized). Yes, I’m a proud multi-tasker, I don’t hate it. I just love it! Does this mean that I have no time for new interests to appear in my life? Not at all, because then priorities would be adjusted in such a way that can fit in my life without having to neglect other priorities.
But then of course I will not be able to devote a lot of time to previous priorities as before the existence of new things, but at least I’ll make an effort to have enough time for what’s left. It won’t be much, but it’s better that nothing.
Notes to self:
- Believe that the ‘no time’ excuse is lame.
- Priority is different than responsibility.
- Don’t let new priorities happen too often that you neglect more important priorities in life.
*Sorry for the long post, I had to express this fast, sorry for spelling mistakes, I’m not perfect, neither you.

Moey my friend.. you are taking this issue to heart. I understand how you feel. I am not obsessed with design only, I am computer obsessed. I love computers to the point where I just spend 90% of my waking hours on it. It is my life. I use it for various reasons. My friends understand it and they call me and I would still be using my computer while talking. lool
Anyways, my priorities in life are very clear to me, and I make them and live by them to satisfy MY SELF. It could be new priorities or sticking with the old. It doesn’t matter. I love what I do in life and I will make sure people around me accept me for what I love. I love my friends and I was very clear to them from the beginning about the friendship. I said, “I don’t care what you do in your life that is personal to you, I have no reason to judge you or make you do anything you don’t like and you have to treat me the same way.”
I just wish people out there are very open minded and accept people for who they are. Accept their life style, any differences, and how they perceive life. In the end, it is us who have to control our path in life, and no one else can do it for us.
So true.
Honsetly, the most thing I believe in, in this post is this sentence:
“the ugly thing called messed-up culture I live in.”
Good job cuz
the last thing u said is actually note to all of us!
I can see now a more mature Moey!
it’s like we r going 2 thru a new phase of life, i think it’s time 2 show ur true metal
i love multi-tasking as well
i’m into design more than ever before! after 2 years now i’m developing as well
& i hope 2 be as good someday
well,i think everyone must have a priority in this life, and priority must be in the 1st place,so it’s something normal that priority makes u busy alot, because it’s what you are ,you do all your efforts for it and it’s the most important thing, and the example is moey and how hardly he work for it and how much efforts he give for it.
Moey I would go with what Mona said.. you are wrong, just do your thing as you want & do not put people in mind! you are talented mashallah & i see a bright future ahead
be happy!!
Well I got nothing toward that but a simple song that I’d dedicate to all of you for Coldplay & Ron Sexsmith - Gold In Them Hills.
