On Homophobe-ism?

I knew this guy since childhood, I never saw this coming and was shocked to hear it, he stood up to me and said “Mo, I want to confess something… please don’t hate me!”. I was amazed because he was never, ever that serious, he’s one of my close friends, we’re just like David Brentt and Chris Finch from “the office” throwing up silly jokes all the time. “I’m gay and I don’t have the guts to tell anyone” he continued. I couldn’t react or say anything for like 2 minutes, “Well, I don’t care if you are gay or not, you’re still my friend… so what? that doesn’t change anything” I answered.

He was more shocked than I was, he thought I’d go kicking everything around and beat the shit out of him or at least spit in his face. I don’t really care if my friend has a different religion or ethnicity. I don’t care if my friend is a drama-queen, a drag-queen or whatever. Why should I categorize people? I’m in no position to do that? It is not my business? as long as your friend is nice to me, doesn’t hurt me, is honest, trust worthy, shares interests in life, and always there for me. then his sexual orientation shouldn’t really matter.

Conclusion? I’m not homophobic and you shouldn’t be too.

Bravo.. I had similar situations in my life with girls and guys. It’s no big deal. Can’t judge them based on whatever life choice they make. That is their choice in life. You practice and love them as a “friend.” That’s all. They accepted you for your bad and good, and you can too! :)

    Bravo..

  4. Jordan Moey Says:

    Thanks Sou.
I know ya Saned bas I like using my own creation of non-making sense words.

actually I met few gay guys in my life ,few of them I still talk to but not that often since we don’t have a lot in common but let me tell you something that most of them are really great & I really like to say that these people are really creative & amazing & one of the worse things that I noticed in religion was that it refuses them which made me really FAR from being a religious person … of course I have few other reasons but that’s one of the main ones, u know me well Moey & I know you , & u know what I mean…actually accepting it is not something amazing to be done or the story isn’t that amazing & u shouldn’t be shocked anyway because that should be a normal subject to people & to deal with it normally … I think they have there secret identity like superman or spider man which is something reallt kewl I swear I’m not mocking or saying anything in any offensive way, but I have my feelings & I was keeping them for myself as there was no one to share them with who wouldn’t make fun of me that’s why I found it a really nice opportunity to explain my point of view about that subject & now I really don’t care what anyone would say or think about me :)
you are such a great guy & being that good to your friend is amazing & he is lucky to have you as no one else would be that friendly :) so cheers my friend & sorry for not being short … lol anyway cya

    moey…

acceptin’ people the way they r is somethin’ great, i admit, BUT …
LETS take a look around ” qol lee man tosa7eb, aqol laka man ant” i know 100 % that its not 100 % true, but .. not all the people do the same! i had the similar problem as well, i never told him that i hated him or or or anythin’, i accepted it, but at the same time, for the sake of my kingdom, which is my life, i should create a place for him ! regardless of the size of that place, but he just shouldn’t be with the others, i’m sure u got me.

its not about judging people, asasan .. they r claiming that its due to a genetic cause, however i had a lot of articles about this, n day after day, u’ll c that its more like a mentaly messed up brain in association with hormonal problems!

    anyway dude, u did well
    cheers m3allem

This is too wrong! No it’s normal for my friend to be gay!!! I’m
Muslim and my relegion tells me with (proofs) that this is too wrong… Bad for health, bad for community, bad for ethics…etc

    I won’t get into this topic…

Sorry. If you wish, delete it.

It’s great that he was able to step up & talk to you… o it’s even better because you understand.. I never was in such a situation bas if it was someone I knew, I would try to talk things through & understand..

  9. Kuwait Semsem Says:

Him telling you shows that you are that kind of ppl that others can trust. I cant say i am always accepting them but i am learning to do so as i guess it is the right thing . After all it is their choice.

I think you made him look sick what do u mean by CREATING a place or not letting him be with the OTHERS , you are treating this person is if he is something that shouldn’t live among us while I see that these people are totally normal & cool, you should watch yourself, but let me tell you something you shouldn’t hate someone for a lack of something in his body right? because he didn’t have control over it, & I think judging someone for his sexuality is the same because they didn’t choose it… I mean was it your choice to be a boy or a girl

    —-
    Awartany
    —-
please, what’s right & what’s wrong … & don’t talk about religion because there is no proof in Qura’an or the Bible that sleeping with the same gender is forbidden if you are going to say that God flipped the ground over the head of ( Loots)*dunno how they type his name in english :P* people, then I would tell you he didn’t do it because they were homosexuals it was because they used to rape people on the streets & do a mass inappropriate behaviors*if you know what I mean* & they stole from people & did all the kind of bad stuff .

being a homophobic that means that you are gay yourself because nobody is comfortable with his sexuality would judge people because of their sexuality & be afraid of them … I mean after all what’s the problem if a male like to be with a male in the bed , again IN THE BED which means nobody is going to be around to witness which means that it’s ok after all we have no right to enter people life …. plus homosexuals are good for the community because they do birth control so our globe won’t explode & for orphans they would adopt them so they can have a good family.

    chikapappi:
talking things out & trying to understand him is the right option to make after all a lot of people might just want attention which is totally wrong but for those who are in real trouble I think the best way is to contain them to NOT LET THEM BE A BAD EFFECT ON OUR COMMUNITY *For AWARTNY:who is afraid on the community*
I mean after all if you like it or not they are part of IT …

    & SORRY :)

  12. Egypt Odai Says:

    Good on you.

I don’t care what anyone’s sexual preference is. It’s like the saying “Whatever floats your boat,” except it’s more like “Whatever gets you off.” xD

Awartany, bad for health? How exactly? And don’t even start with the HIV thing. Heterosexuals can get AIDS just as easily as homosexuals. Being gay doesn’t mean you’re going to sleep with everything that walks.

If “God” doesn’t like/want homosexuals, he wouldn’t have made a good percentage of people attracted to the same sex. It’s all internal, and uncontrollable by a person.

  13. Jordan sash Says:

Go for it Odai amazing post :D

  14. Egypt Awartany Says:

I won’t argue with you… Cause when you claim it’s not mentioned in Qur’an nor Bible… I don’t know what to say! But in Islam, Qur’an is not the only source of judgement on life issues. You are like those who believe that alcoholic beverages are not prohibited in Islam, just because there is no direct verse mentioned in Qur’an prohibiting drinking of alcoholic beverages, it’s not an excuse!

And as of health and social negative effects of homosexual activities, just read this study; and please don’t treat it as insignificant!!!

After all, I mean no offense but I’m trying here to be as much objective as I can.

    Nothing more to say!

  15. Syria Suicidal Angel Says:

    Sash :

1st of all, its not a matter of choice, its sickness ! u’ll c! they r trying to prove the opposite, but they coudln’t till now, and they’ll go back to the original cause, however, i don’t wanna get into a hell of a detailed scientific discussion about it ( though i can )
but .. yes, they should have their own places in our lives ! cuz its like a sickness sometimes ! u never know, i’ll explain a bit how..

simply.. thousands of studies prooved that the 1st sexual contact determines a LOT, and might lead into a kind of attraction towards a specific sex or whatever, ok ? now, bein’ so free with healthjy ppl, it will help them to spread their thoughts, and maybe drag more healthy ppl to this ! example.. the kids who r bein raped, become gays when they grow up (90 % ) !!!! its NOT WHAT I SAY, its what STATISTICS show !

so allowing them to exist so normally without restrictions, is DESTRUCTIVE for the wholeh umanity ! its a sickness ! and need to be treated, so many gays came back to their normal life after some either hormonal treatment, or mental one !

wake up ! and don’t think that when a kid makes a mistake, we should walk with it ! they r so damn wrong ! time will show it ! u’ll c!

  16. Syria Suicidal Angel Says:

wanted to add somethin’ else in another post so that all the ideas can appear in the right sequence…

yeah bad for health! forget the HIV since its an equal thing for both, but don’t forget how bad it can be for the muscles of the rectum to the male ! and after a while, he’ll lose control over it and SIMPLY SHIT IN HIS PANTS FOR NO CONTROL !

one more thing, so easy to c , but for those who HAVE EYES…

not controlable ? who said that diseases r controlable ? but they r curable !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    pretty easy isn’t ?
it just became a sort of fasion to become gay ! and to announce it to get attention in some places in this world !! its an illness ! ppl had so much sex, they got bored from the normal route of sex in the life cycle of a human bein’, and now, inventin’ a lot of things, normal one, becomes gay, gay, go to have sex with animals later !

    God … ! humanity needs sterilization !!!!!

  17. New Zealand (Aotearoa) hannoood Says:

    hey guys! interesting topic there…
well i work in a scociety surrounded by gays and i study with them too.. the thing is i am not against them .. i like it is up to them what they do .. but personally i think this is just becoming too much!! and this phenomena is just becoming like a disease in the society … i mean for God sake! the normal things is the sexual attraction between a MALE and a FEMALE .. yes there might be some genetical abnormalities but thats like very rare.. and a minor things.. the role the media is playing is just disgusting! it is encoraging this phenomena :S .. and try to convince ppl that they r gay or lesbians whereas they r not! therefore, it is a pure brain wash! and btw i am very very disappointed and angry on spreading this thing amongst muslims!!!!!!!!! i mean fine this was created in western countries and now they want our arabic societies to suffer the consequences! this is just outragous..

  18. Kuwait The dude Says:

Simply put, Being gay is a social illness and it is becoming too excessive. All religions Islam, Christianity, and Judaism forbid same sex sexual relations. It is sick & disgusting.
If I had a friend confess to me that he/she is gay I surely won’t beat them up but I will try to help them out of it and if I can’t then I’ll just part my friendship with them.

  19. Jordan sash Says:

ok despite of what everyone says … I just really think that people should have their freedom & if anyone think it’s an illness it might be but what if it wasn’t curable for some people … personally if the person was comfortable with what he is then leave him alone plus I sat with some mental doctors or whatever they call them they said that there are some incurable situations & these who I’m talking about plus being gay doesn’t mean to do any harm to the society even though in the arab world few of them cause a scene which is totally inappropriate but being civilized means that this thing should be behind closed doors & between 2 persons only … sorry if I offended anyone but everyone have the right to keep his opinion ,…. for SS.Angel I really like that you are moderate but I hope you don’t look at them as if they are a sick people coz they might have healthier life than yours except for that little part you know about & for awartny you should accept them normally , & for hannood I understood all you were talking about but muslims & not muslims are a like in such situations … & sorry for anyone was offended & as I said everyone have the right to keep his/her opinion

“If I had a friend confess to me that he/she is gay I surely won’t beat them up but I will try to help them out of it and if I can’t then I’ll just part my friendship with them.”

The dude, you can’t just shove a pussy in a gay guy’s face and tell them to eat it and like it. There’s no “cure” for it, because it’s NOT an illness. And make no mistake, it is NOT a choice.

hannoood, it’s not a phenomena. It’s feelings, and you can’t deny people from having them.

Syria Suicidal Angel, you wouldn’t have that nickname unless you’ve been through a lot of crap in your life. Homosexuals go through worse. Leave them alone.

Awartany, “Cause when you claim it’s not mentioned in Qur’an nor Bible.” I don’t care what is mentioned in Qur’an or Bible. Religions don’t work these days (and they probably never did. You have a brain, use it… common sense is the key), and again, if everything is controlled by God, and he didn’t want homosexuals, he wouldn’t have made/will probably make a good percentage of people attracted to the same sex. And I don’t just mean physical attraction.

At the end of the day, who are WE to judge? Live and let live.

  24. Egypt Odai Says:

    Awartany, I read the study.

Now, just the same way you googled that, google the side effects of being too active in a heterosexual relationship, like people claim homosexuals are. And we’re talking about pre-marital sex. Sex with multiple partners.

And just a small FYI, there’s a lot of other ways to achieve an orgasm for homosexuals. Not everyone does anal.

  25. Jordan Awartany Says:

Odai; you are too far from the point. I just won’t reply. I don’t want to get into a destructive argument you got us into.

    Sorry.

R U nuts!!!!! you have to know that we a part of society , we have to blend with and be a part of, why shall i put my self in a suspected situation??? all friends you have are reflecting a part of you, why to reflect a corrupted one????? moreover all people judge alike, ” tell me your friends i will till you WHO U R”…

Maybe if you agreed with him , no wonder if you will blog a hot topic one day and name it :
