It’s EMPTY, the choice of YELLOW is disgusting! It’s ugly, Fastlink’s old kinky website was much better even though the design had problems on firefox and safari (the company’s logo used to align to the left), also the voting system doesn’t work, most of the links are not functioning, the quality of the images is horrible (you can see pixels around the corners of the images)!Zain Jordan… I’m sorry! Now analyzing the Zain logo colors consitsting of Black, Green, Purple and Pink.

  • Black is the color of authority and power. It also implies submission.
  • Green symbolizes nature. It is the easiest color on the eye and can improve vision. It is a calming, refreshing color. People waiting to appear on TV sit in “green rooms” to relax. Hospitals often use green because it relaxes patients. Brides in the Middle Ages wore green to symbolize fertility. Dark green is masculine, conservative, and implies wealth. However, seamstresses often refuse to use green thread on the eve of a fashion show for fear it will bring bad luck.
  • Purple is the color of royalty, purple connotes luxury, wealth, and sophistication. It is also feminine and romantic. However, because it is rare in nature, purple can appear artificial.
  • Pink is is an extreme color, red clothing might not help people in negotiations or confrontations. It is also the most romantic color, tranquilizing. Sports teams sometimes paint the locker rooms used by opposing teams bright pink so their opponents will lose energy.

I think the colors representing a telecommunications company is a huge step in designing or branding around the world but the name “Zain” is too weak to be honest, I like the use of Black, just like Orange in Jordan (ex-Mobilecom) but I think replacing Red with Pink was a mistake, However the Green and Purple are more relaxing and friendly but Still the mixture itself has a “gender” reference, Because usually Pink is mostly used by females. Anyways, let’s see the quality of the ads around Kuwait and Jordan, and there will be more judging.

Update: guess who owns ZainJordan.com?

Update 2: According to Jordan Mafia

Zain is Hebrew for “a d!ck” according to the following websites

OMG THAT’S HORRIBLE!

Update 3: Who’s behind the logo/name.

Actually, dick in Hebrew is pronounced as ZAH-yen and not Zain. But still, I really think that the name is a step backwards. Go for something more global, especially if you want to attain a global reach. The group already operates in perhaps 15 African countries, and I really can’t see how the African can relate to Zain. I’m Jordanian and I just can’t find it appealing. But to be honest, I don’t mind the choice of colors, in fact, I would’ve liked it if they used a clean white background instead of black. But I guess a black background makes the colors stand out in a stronger way.

Orange is NOT Israeli, it’s French.

(Zain) is Hebrew for “a d#*k”, but it’s not pronounced like “زين” exactly, it’s more like “Zayne” or “زاين”.
But still, lol, I see a lot of jokes on the way :)

Hmmm… French? I was positive Orange was a UK company…. Must be the Alzeimer’s sinking in…

may be its a good color concept but personally speaking i hate the design and color. There are better ways to display the color into the design.
