A Bloggers Prayer
Now I lay me down to sleep, All my passwords at my feet.
If I should die before I wake, Blog for me, for heaven’s sake.

Blogging has the ability of revealing the most innermost thoughts of a person, things you wouldn’t even know of even as a friend of the blogger in real life.

The biggest thing that you might not know is if the blogger dies.

I have been thinking about this some time, the blogging world is quite fickle. There are times when blogs are left un-updated for days and months, simply because the blogger have suffered a blogging burnout, or as we call it a mind blockage, a family issue or just can not access internet shortly after joining the blogging bandwagon.

What if that blog you keep visiting with hope for an update will never be updated because that blogger is dead.

Can you imagine, a blog you’ve been reading since forever, knowing all the things about the blogger that his family probably doesn’t even know or give a shit about, only to have him mysteriously disappear without a trace, and you don’t know if it’s because he’s got bored with sharing and recording his life on the Internet or he’s dead and couldn’t inform strangers like you because nobody familiar to him knows about the blog, so who could tell if the blogger is dead or alive?

Death can come pretty unexpectedly. Have you considered leaving your blog in a will? I haven’t and I never will because I know, my blog will die with me. I’ll make sure I leave the password with a close friend, maybe a sibling and let them inform my readers by posting a farewell post and then shutting the blog down. So don’t worry!

Moey, interesting concept. So maybe we should all have a ‘goodbye’ letter saved in our drafts folder just in case? :)

I actually thought about it this week when hubby and I were going over our will, and said to please put something on my blog if anything happens!

SO, Mo, no plans in this direction, right????? :S

That’s a very sad post but it’s kinda exciting too! How one dies, the blogger dies, the readers cry, and all that chain link!

Your blog is quite a unique blog. You are an excellent writer and keep on posting. I love the way you write! And even if you die, blog from heaven(or hell perhaps) and give us the latest news about stuff happening there!

That thought crossed my mind recently, interesting to see that some people think alike. I’m still new to blogging so I haven’t gotten close to any bloggers yet or become a frequent visitor to many, but this is not my first time to visit ur blog, and i must say, I do enjoy coming here :)
