5 Things I like about Syria

- They have GAP now and Its licensed, I found an item that I really wanted (about 130$) for around 40$ here and it looks exactly the same, its just made in Syria.
- The amazing new malls in town, specially the new one with Aizone, Aishti and Rotana Cafe (licensed from Rotana, the TV Station),
- The use of English spreading everywhere, even the waiters trying to say: Beddak Zoous? (he meant Sauce).
- The GPS cell info service, it actually keeps informing you about every single block you visit with the area name and details on both private cellphone networks MTN and Syriatel.
- Syrian food, cheap and clean plus tasammom-less unlike shawerma in Amman.

it’s very depressing when amman becomes the food-poison capital of the arab world. who is running Jordan? who is asleep at the wheel? taxi drivers will tell you most gulfys are now passing by jordan on their way to Syria. jordan is too expensive and service is too poor, is what we commonly hear. is this the classic Jordanian gov’t Debkeh? one step forward, two steps back.
did you go to Moulaya? it’s the best place in Syria.
