Updates: The New Hijab Trends

This is the latest trend, took the shot yesterday.. the new trend is that you cover your head with an almost transparent scarf showing a pony tail, and show us the back of your neck with a wide open body tshirt (lycra type ones) and wear a tight shirt showing your figures and also a tight low waist jeans trouser almost showing the crack with full make-up.. Impressive!

Your blog is refusing to remember me…
the fields keep getting blank :/
Moey,
Play Alive
this trend ain’t new — it’s probably from late 80’s to 90’s! LOL
it’s still surviving.
And Oh,
this Hejab is known to be popularised by Egyptian nation. Somehow like an “2amta”. Yeah, I know a girl who used to wear regular one, came back with this thing! LOL — Weird, it shows stuff!
Yeah, just the same way I never understood the point of covering the hair if one’s butt is about to jump out of the jeans!
well this has been around for about a decade so it highly qualifies as new or a trend, and honestly moey to each his own, ya3ni live and let live. the hijab is not meant to inspire fashion critique. it’s between that person and God.
in other words, snapping photos of revealing necks is not the way to go bro
I caught that too yesterday. I spun around to see if her is just covered or if she really is m7ajabeh. I guess Egyptian hijab trends are knocking on our doors..
I agree with that gurls are missing the whole point of wearing the 7ijab..bit i beleive it `s unethical to take a picture of someone without their permission and post it on the website
Salam,
This is my first comment on your blog.
I understand the fact that you’re disgusted with the new look of Hijab, so am I. But it’s not appropriate to secretly take a picture of this girl and post it on your blog. Even if she’s doing sth wrong.
There’s a difference between girls wearing unacceptable clothes in the streets and between posting them on the web.
Just a sincere opinion.
Regards,
Sary
this is moda yaba!
shu ya3ni eza m7ajabe matfee3? elmuhem sha3rat-ha mu mbayneen! shayefhum eshi? shayef sha3rat-ha? leh za3lan lakan?
amma 3alam ma bet2adder “elfaya3a elshar3eyye”!
Sary: she knew that I took a pic of her.. she was like, why are u taking a photo? I told her I like your hijab style? she was like ok
I was just wondering, did you also happen to tell her that you will be posting her pic on your blog (out of mere consideration), for hundreds if not thousands of viewers to bash/comment/mock/humiliate/analyze/inspect/examine her attire? Just a thought..
Sorry if this sounds patronizing, but shouldn’t you take her permission first?
She did not know that you were going to use it on your blog and specifically for this purpose, not to mention that: 1) you lied to her 2) you took her by surprise and so she didn’t know what to say or do.
she could care less.. trust me, my friend Dana is a close friend of her.. and yes, she didn’t know that I’m going to blog her photo and criticize it, but if she didn’t want me to take the photo she could’ve asked me to delete it, and I’d have done that.. nothing shows who is she anyways.. I took the shot from the back, her face isn’t showing and her identity is hidden.
Come’on bro, there’s no way that this lady simply caught a glimpse of you taking a shot of her right from the back of her shoulders and then endorsed your action!
The photo is definitely a spy-shot taken swiftly; she’s not cantered nor is her face concealed…
Otherwise, I’ve seen worse at Yarmouk uni, A Hijab with what almost can be considered a miniskirt! What’s far more interesting is that the fact that ladies who opt for such “variants” of Hijab are not necessarily forced to wear it, many make a personal choice of wearing the Hijab either starting off this way (wearing a Hijab that self-defeat its purpose) or gradually loosen-a-bit.
A very normal state of affairs of an ever so oblivious society!
Moey I think you shouldnt have posted this photo , ma beseer .
Regarding the Hejab trends , yes I believe that girls have missed the point of Hejab and they wear clothes that are so inappropriate for it.
Bs a7la shi in Egypt some women wear the Hejab w b6al3o el7ala2 minno
ma2sah :/
Basem: truse, I’ve been to irbid, yarmouk.. yeah
7ala: yeah, ok.. ma3ik 7a2.. this is not religion.. and
I see the post okay, her identity is hidden.. could u recognize her with different at least 50 girls at my uni with the same hijab?
I believe this Hijab is mostly intended to please the family not God, I mean it’s of the type: Dad, I’m wearing Hijab, and guys, I’m a girl also. And if the girl isn’t forced to wear it, then I guess she’s having a hard time convincing herself of taking it off while she has become used to it, so, she’s making a trade-off.
And I don’t see why can’t you blog this photo? I mean I can remember 50 girls in my uni alone that look exactly like her! tc.
Thx omar for the nice comment and for visiting my blog.
no offense man, but some people could also criticize you for certain things, like your hair (sometimes blond, sometimes red/brown, sometimes black, sometimes blue which turned green after swimming in the sea), and your t-shirts (some of which you threw out recently and all have pointless themese like ‘no sex please’), and the name you use (i’m sure your mom and dad did not call you ‘Moey’ when you were born).
point is, watch what you dislike in people, it may very well be the same thing people dislike in you.
I hate it when other peoples’ pictures are being taken, then put on the net!
It is very wrong to do so. And I think you still got the time to remove it.
She can be identified by someone who knows her!! Ofcourse!
We shouldn’t worry about what mistakes others do, but worry about our own. Pretty sure, we’ve got tonnes of wrong things in us that we need to fix. Besides didn’t you hate it when people would stare on your hand? Wouldn’t any normal human being hate it when his/her picture is being displayed for public mocking, and criticizing?
She might not CARE at all, but it’s our duty to defend her or anyone else when their privacy is being invaded.
I am a little harsh here, and of course I am not a saint, or someone who should judge. But I have to advice you to do the right thing.
Moey,
It’s your blog and no one can force you to remove the pic.
However, I wish that if at least 1% of your inner-self feels that posting this pic is wrong then just remove it.
I know for myself that if I found out that someone posted a pic of a girl I know (relative or just someone I know from uni/work) and commented on the way she’s dressed and how (quoting you) her “figures” are showing and how she’s wearing a “low-waist jeans” and ended his description with the word : “Impressive!”, I know for sure I would really be angry. Actually, I’ll be really angry even If I don’t know the girl because simply this is “entehaak
7oromat” el banat. And we can’t simply say that if she accepts to wear these clothes in the street then surely she won’t mind having her pic posted on a blog with accompanying commentary.
That’s as much as I can argue anything over the net. I don’t like long arguments.
Salam, o Ramadan Kareem,
Sary
Moey,
Akeed, Akeed it is wrong to take somebodies picture and publish on the net with some not so positive comments. If she could not care less, maybe somebody else would. We still live in an easter style society, whether it is good or bad, whether we like it or not. The subject you raised is very interesting and requires further discussing and view exchange, however, i wished if you have used some cartoon style images.
Even in western societies, such pictures are most commonly used for blackmalikng. And here is jordan, regardless of how silly this may sound, but could put her life in danger, and have the justification in court which would leave a person who committed a crime, walk out the court with virtually no penalty.
Joey:
true man, but I’m not doing anything wrong.. hair coloring is normal, the prophet used to use henna (if you want it religious way)
and the T-shirts are sold normally here in Barcode Sweifieh, here we’re talking about respecting religion and hijab. that girl is way way way over.
actually my nickname is Moey (it’s common and armenians use it).
thanks for sharing your opinion man anyways!
Lubna:
It doesn’t show her identity, trust me.. yeah, I’m not saying I’m perfect, But I do respect somethings, ya3ni if my friends are fasting I don’t eat in front of them masalan. but she’s messing up with the hijab and this is haram even put it right or don’t.. I’m not a saint either, about my hand.. well hay 5el2et allah, bas her hijab is mesh 5elget allah 5elget balash ma a7ki, and she should respect herself and not do this in Ramadan (again, I’m not religious nor a saint but that’s the truth, respect others feelings), and thanks for your advice.
Guys, get a grip. You can’t even see her face.
Sary:
Well, I kinda feel it’s wrong but it’s pissing me off too, “entehaak
7oromat” man, just look at the way she looks, she’s of course 7orra bas inno the description I did.. doesn’t it bother you to see this at 9am?
I respect your opinion honestly.. bas ya3ni bel mantiq.. mesh radyeh tfoot mo55i
Ammar:
True, might be wrong. and the cartoon style image is a nice idea, and since you guys want me to remove the pic I’ll do, bas keeping the description.. and I’ll try to illustrate or use a fake pic.. good idea for the next time, thanks for your comment.
Roba: shayfeh!! I’ll filter the photo with photoshop and upload it again. let’s see
Ok, edited now..
Dear Moey
as we talking about higab I can notice alot of muslim girls who dont wear it at all -and belive me that their own right and self freedom to understand islam and to apply it- So on the other hand for girls who wear Higab as the way its properite to them its also their right ,why we dont critic what men wear by the name of islam ??? although i think islam is more than just dress code ,Im not no against what you post but im against saing she wears good or bad we cant calculate her its just allah right to calcalate us or we will be small god’s on earth !!! but we can from social aspect try to understand why girls would do that ?? I think its their way to express refusing traditional Higab in a mild way (remeber each girl is forced for Higab if not dirctly then undirectly by our culture-I saw many mohagbat who does know anything about islam I feel sorry that they wear Higab just because they are muslim and for sake of islam ) ,sorry to be long
FInally! i can see your site now…stupid wanadoo. its sad isn’t it? the scarf no longer symbolizes their religion…its just an accessory now nothing more.
true Kloude
glad you decided to filter the picture. I am not here to discuss the issue from a religious point of view, all i’m saying is that you shouldn’t condemn her, leave her alone to decide her own life. Not a single soul is supposed to judge her. She might wear the hijab for the wrong reasons, while you.. you might be cursing God, disrespecting your parents, fooling around in relations. We all have our mistakes and sins, and no one is allowed to judge one another.
well, this is your own point of view, and i might disagree with it.
ofcourse:) thanks for allowing me to express it on your own blog:)
it’s alright, you’re always welcome
sometimes I feel we still have no right to judge what other people wear or do. Girls with Hijab are under a lot of pressure already. Let them be.
Totally respect your view Moey!
Thank you for visiting my blog too!
