The more days I spend in Amman, the more people I hate..

What’s wrong with disabled people? Why do people have to stare at me all the time, I’m not an alien.. I was wearing a brown baseball hat, a brown benetton t-shirt, pair of jeans and a brown converse shoes.. WHAT’S SO NOT NORMAL ABOUT THAT!? guess what? they’re just looking at my left hand, as If I have to hide it.. and they’re staring as If I was naked or raped their sisters.. cut it off! I’m not effected and happy with my disability and can do 300% more effort that what normal people do, I clean the house, wash dishes, clean my bathroom and paint, type so fast on keyboard.. I do more things that half of you do not do (talking about the fuckers who stare, not normal human beings).. this was one of the few times that I go out without wearing offensive tshirts, not even FCUK, it’s driving me insane so I’m making a new T-shirt that I’ll wear later on saying: Disabled and Happy, Don’t stare! معاق أقلب وجهك.. I lived in Kuwait (gulf) and went to bedouin areas and never been spotted like this.. I don’t need their sympathy, nor their help.. I can do it all on my own, I live by myself here. and do everything by myself.. some people seriously need to get a life.

I’m not gonna give a shit anymore, and will wear whatever the fuck I want and do whatever the fuck I want.. this is my space! and this is my life! thanks for your mental disability.

NOTE: I NEVER TOOK MY DISABILITY SERIOUSLY.. UNTIL I GOT HERE, AND FROM NOW ON.. I’M NOT DISABLED!

Update: I Like what my friend Reda told me..

it’s mostly the same feelings when people stair at you and talk about what you are wearing or listening to or whatever … when you know you love that thing you are doing then you shouldn’t be caring about any other comments, i think you know that , you listen to what you want love or like, i’m not listening for others , i wear for myself what i love or like, not for others, I believe alot of people need an enlightenment

  5. Kuwait Red Says:

maybe i’m giving too far, but i’d like to say one more thing, I believe that most of these (who people call them disabled) are way too normal, as they can speak, express, love, hate, have feelings, then I believe we all are humans. So far, those people who are under a big dark cloud exists everywhere, and that’s why we hate them, that’s why that hate word exists.

  6. United States moi Says:

Don’t let it get to you. People in Jordan stare at anything and everything, 3al fadi wil malyan. They stare just because they like to inspect everyone up and down. There’s nothing wrong with you, there’s something seriously wrong with the people that can’t stop staring. :)

  7. United States Qwaider قويدر Says:

Its sad how people still think in that way. That’s the handicap, being dumb, stupid and insensitive.
Totally agree with you and support you, they seriously need to get a life

  8. United States kinzi Says:

Moey, you are totally special and unique just the way you are (wow, you clean bathrooms?!)but you don’t need me to tell you that.

You may have a physical disability, which you have made an asset with your perspective and persistence. These people have a disability of heart, for which the cure is much harder.

I get stared at all the time, because of my assets and foreign-ness, not disabilities. I’ve learned to pray for those who look and speak unkindly…that way I don’t let bitterness enter my heart and I have blessed them in return.

Have you read the story “You are Special” by Max Lucado? It’s a kid’s story with a great moral. Have a great day, and may their be a smile instead of a stare.

  9. Jordan Moey Says:

    thx guys..
all of you for the sweet comments,
Kinzi.. haven’t read the story, i’ll try to find the ebook

  10. Jordan The Observer Says:

Moey, people can act shamefully sometimes!

Staring! I am sure no one would feel comfortable being stared on whether he has any physical disability or not. It is just rudness of people to stare on each other.

But if it is just a look, like you getting other people attention of any difference you have in figure, then so what? Let them look, it just makes you special :)

  11. Jordan Moey Says:

dude thx its normal for them to stare, but this time.. they were looking at me as if i was a plasma HDTV 50″ screen playing porn. i swear, their eyes would pop out

  12. Jordan RUDESPEAK Says:

Rudeness and inconsideration should be treated like a medical condition, just like tooth decay. Soon, special chemicals will be mixed with water along with floride and prozac and those rude and inconsiderate jordanians will be polite and happy, smiling with good teeth.

  13. Jordan Dave Says:

Don’t worry about it. People stare at me and I’m just American.

  14. Egypt Abed. Hamdan Says:

    ensa ya zalame, ignore them

  15. Jordan Fadi Says:

I believe when people spot other people’s disabilities they’r just trying to ignore or distract attentions of their own psychological disabilities

  16. Australia Butter Milk Says:

    A wise and innocent call,

However, I believe that there is an over reaction. You are assuming that they are looking at you because of your disability. There is no proof that they are looking at you because of that particular reason.
They might be gazing at you simply like they do at evey one else.

Eye to eye contact is considered holy for some while others simply ignore it.

The fact is, you assumed that the eye contact made is for a reason that your mind made.. I mean yes you might be right however assumption is not fact.
